About Me
I am a community psychologist who's work broadly focuses on the sexual and reproductive health rights of Black women. I am currently a PhD student at Michigan State University where
I conduct research in the HIV and Sexual Health Research Lab. I have made it one of my life's goals to always unapologetically center Black women in my work.
Outside of school, I have made it a priority to embrace my well-being holistically. As a result, I spend a lot of time swimming, biking, and running to train for sprint triathlons, and traveling to gain new experiences and spend time with family. Though I currently live in Mid-Michigan, I am from Birmingham, AL. I believe that triathlon training and traveling have brought me unique and and creative ways to care for myself while in graduate school, so I specifically wanted to share these experiences with others.
